Important Information
I do not and will not sell your personal information (email address, home address, name, etc) to any companies, any other prop or costume makers, customers, or anyone else. The only information that will be made public is an order number that's logged into the order queue.

RETURN POLICY
Because people often intend only to use an item once for a con or for Halloween, I get many people telling me they want to return the items for a refund after a couple weeks. You cannot check things out and return them when you're finished with them. Each package will have a tracking code on it, which will tell me when the item was delivered to you. You have 3 business days (Monday-Friday) from the time the item arrived to contact me about your reason for wanting to return the item.

1. If the item has arrived broken, that's not a problem. USA packages all have insurance, so we can file a claim with the USPS and get you a refund. However, the USPS will only grant a refund if you return the item to them so that they can destroy it. A lot of times, a customer will still want the item as well as their money back. This what Paypal refers to as "double jeopardy," though I'm not entirely sure why. Basically it means that you want to have your broken item and a refund because it's broken - probably with the intent of fixing the item and still having your money. This is highly unfair to sellers because the USPS will not refund the buyer for a broken item if the item is not given to them, and then the buyer demands a refund from the seller. In fact, if Paypal finds out that a buyer is doing this, they will side with the seller and revoke the buyer's account. When an item arrives broken but you still want the item, your best bet is to let the USPS process your refund, and then use that refund to buy the item again. Unfortunately, this starts the entire creation process over. If you don't want to do this, I am happy to give you advice on how to repair an item.

2. If I have sent you the wrong item, you can send the incorrect item back to me for an exchange or a full refund (I will also refund you for the shipping cost of the return only if you have chosen the cheapest method of shipping as well as delivery confirmation! I am also known to just send replacements without expecting a return from the customer if I've sent the wrong item, since normally the only mix-ups have to do with tiaras.

3. If you receive your item and are unhappy with it, you can return the item to me for a full refund. You must get delivery confirmation (tracking code) on the return package and it must be dated within 3 days of its initial arrival to you. Example: Item delivered at your address 10/20/2009. Tracking must show it being returned to me no later than 10/24/2009. If you will be out of town during the estimated delivery time, let me know beforehand so that we can make other arrangements!

A lot of times, you will see a website that will say "We..." Here, it will be "I," as I am but one person. Many people seem to think that I'm a company and mass-produce items, but I am, in fact, one person. I do often receive a high volume of orders and it takes quite a bit of time to create a commission. This is why I have included a "Creation Time Estimate" on each item I have on my site. That will give you an idea of how long it will take for your item to be made and shipped before you decide to pay.

It is important you know that I do not begin work on an item until it's paid for. When you use the cart system on the website and choose to pay with Paypal, I will get an order form and your payment at the same time. We will both receive your order number, and since you will have already paid, your order will be added to the order queue. If you chose to pay by check or money order, your order number will not go up in the order queue until I have received your payment and it has cleared. I receive, on average, 13 orders per day that say they will be paid by check or money order, and then I never receive payment. If I worked on all of these orders that would never be paid for, I'd not have time for anything else. Please understand that I am a full time college student in addition to running this website, so I cannot take orders that aren't paid for in advance. If you do not agree to these terms, do not place an order. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I placed an order but it hasn't appeared on the order queue. Why?
A. If you placed an order you mean to pay for with check or money order, it means that I have not yet received your payment or that it has not yet cleared. I will not add orders the order queue until they are paid for. If you paid with Paypal and/or your payment has indeed cleared and I've not yet added it to the order queue after 72 hours from the time the payment cleared, contact me at cosplay@moonprism.com with your order number and I will make sure it's on the order queue.

Q. Do you ship internationally?
A. Yes I do! However, shipping internationally does take longer. I don't always force insurance on overseas packages because they always have a tracking code which makes things easier, but I will force you to pay insurance if you buy a large item or live somewhere that I feel has a poor mail service. If you decline to pay the extra shipping charges, I will drop your order and refund you.

Q. What shipping method do you use?
A. I always ship with the United States Postal Service, and in most cases will ship Priority 1-3 day if the shipping address is domestic. If international, I will ship first class unless it's a large item and I've chosen to force insurance. If I force insurance, your package will be shipped Priority.

Q. Will you take commissions, and do they have to be Sailor Moon related?
A. I do take commissions and they absolutely do not have to be Sailor Moon related. In fact, they don't have to be anime/manga related at all. You must send me a picture of the item you want me to replicate! If you email me asking me if I can make something but don't include a picture, I won't respond. If you send me a link to a gallery, I won't respond. I need EXACT pictures you would want me to be working from. I prefer to see the item alone as well as being held (such as if it is a wand, the character holding the wand), but if it's not possible, dimensions in feet and/or inches is also helpful. However, I do prefer specific pictures. I will also replicate original art, such as if you have created your own wand or something like that, as long as you have a sketch and a detailed explanation, I can create it!

Q. I would like to write a review. How do I do that?
A. You can go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgLjmMlIsu4 and write a review in the comment. If possible, include your order number and tracking code. Because this is a public forum, it can be 'trolled.' If your feedback is an obvious troll, I will delete it, but if it's honest and will help future buyers, I will leave it.

Q. Do you have any feedback besides the feedback on YouTube?
A. Yes, I have eBay feedback, which you can see here: http://myworld.ebay.com/seakittym

Q. If I request it, will you sell to me on eBay?
A. No. I used to sell exclusively on eBay, but that was quite a long time ago. Since then, eBay has wildly inflated their prices and seem to charge sellers for everything. Not only are their selling fees (listing fees, final closing costs) steep, they bought Paypal and charge a fee for the payment, and they do not allow any other payments - PAYPAL ONLY. That allows them to collect double the fees. On top of this, they have changed their policies so that sellers cannot leave negative feedback for buyers, which means people can bid items up and never pay for them and there's nothing the seller can do about it.

Q. Will you sell on Amazon.com?
A. No, I have tried, and was very sad when they kicked me off. I was under the impression that I could list under the "Everything Else" category. I was later told that one could only sell on Amazon.com if they had a UPC. This means that handmade crafts are not allowed on Amazon.com unless they have a barcode. Mine do not!

Q. Will you give me free shipping if I order a certain amount of stuff?
A. Perhaps. I make a non-committal statement because sometimes I do give free shipping randomly, like if someone orders a large quantity of items or if I took too long to ship something. Admittedly, I do become annoyed when people ask me for free shipping and tell me they won't buy from me unless I give them free items and free shipping. This does happen a lot and in the future, I won't respond to emails like that. Sometimes I randomly put an extra tiara or a pair of earrings in a box just because I feel like it.

Q. Will you always be doing this?
A. As much as I would like to, probably not. I'm a single woman and am in college, which affords me a little bit of time to do this. I graduate college December 22, 2009. This means that in January, it will be time to start looking for a job and I may not be able to continue to take commissions and make tutorials. I will continue to do this as long as possible, however.

Q. When will you have tutorials up?
A. Tutorials are the kind of thing that I will get to when I have the chance. I really enjoy doing them but it's a nightmare to set up the camera and let it sit there taping me while I'm doing something that takes hours to do when I can only fit it all into a 10 minute span. I may try my hand at writing tutorials.

Q. If I hit my item against a tree, would it hold up and be good for fighting?
A. I'm so sad I get asked this so much. Do not hit your item against a tree and do not use it to fight. I seriously have no idea why people want to attack trees with glaives and swords.

Q. What exactly are your items made from?
A. What I use to make each item will be displayed on the item description page. I can't answer a question generally because each thing is made with something else, but for the most part I use wood, tile grout, and rhinestones.

Q. If I live near you, can I pick the item up?
A. We could arrange to meet ONLY in Salem, Missouri and your item(s) must be paid for in advance! If you cannot pick it up in Salem, it will be shipped to you, but if you can pick it up in Salem I will refund your shipping cost! You will need to print out your receipt to prove that it's you picking it up.

Q. Why have your prices increased?
A. The cost of shipping has increased worldwide, so the price of everything else has had to increase as well! Because of the increase in cost of my supplies, I have had to raise the prices to keep from going under.

Q. Are your earrings hypoallergenic?
A. Unfortunately, they aren't. I know that a few of the posts I use are, but more often than not, they aren't. If you have an allergy to certain types of metals, it is best that you avoid the earrings.

Q. Will the tiara turn my head green?
A. My tiaras are made of brass, which doesn't usually turn skin green. Copper will turn skin green, and brass is part copper, but brass won't turn your skin green usually. As of November 1, 2009, all tiaras will come with an acrylic coating on the inside, which will prevent the possibility of your skin turning green. Elasticless tiaras that required spirit gum have the risk of the acrylic coming off over time.

Q. How do I clean a tiara?
A. Since they're made with brass, they will oxidize if not properly cared for. When you're finished using the tiara, polish it with a dry cloth. I suggest Brasso to shine it up. Use an old piece of cloth that you don't care about as the Brasso will ruin the cloth. Rub hard and quickly over the entire tiara. Keep the tiara in a dry place to keep the metal from oxidizing. Keep it clean of fingerprints, as the oils in your fingers will oxidize quickly if not wiped off (this usually takes about a month to begin, so no need to be neurotic about cleaning it).

Q. How do I clean the rest of my items?
A. A soft cloth such as a washcloth dampened (not soaked!) with lukewarm water and a dab of liquid handsoap is an excellent way to clean your items. All of my paints are acrylic and thick, so they won't wash off with gentle rubbing. A Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is also effective.
